Your health information

Last updated 18 September 2026

This page is only about health information — the things you tell me about your body. Washington State law (the My Health My Data Act) asks me to explain this separately and plainly, and I'm glad to.

The short version

  • Since 18 September 2026, the form at /join/ doesn't ask about your health at all.
  • Before that, it asked a few things that touched on how you feel, and it asked your permission first. Anything shared then is still covered by this page.
  • If you choose to tell me something about your health yourself, this page covers that too.
  • I use it for one thing: to help you practice safely.
  • I never sell it. Not ever, not to anyone.
  • You can ask to see it, change your mind, or have it deleted — any time, and I'll do it.

What I collect, and why

Today, nothing: the form no longer asks about health. This page covers what people shared before that, and anything you choose to tell me yourself.

The health information I might hold

  • Answers given before 18 September 2026, with permission: what you were hoping for (which could touch on stress and anxiety, sleep, or energy), things that didn't feel good for you, and your experience of breathwork. Earlier versions of the form also asked about injuries, medical conditions, surgery, pregnancy or postpartum, addiction, and where you hold tension.
  • Anything you choose to tell me yourself about your health, in the form's open box, by email, or by text.

What the form does now instead: it reminds you that I'm a yoga teacher, not a doctor, and that you know your own body best. Every pose comes with ways to modify it, and you can always rest, skip a pose, or stop. If you have a health condition or aren't sure, please check with your doctor.

Why I collect it, and how I use it

  • To keep you safe. So I know what to modify and what to leave out of your practice.
  • To shape your sequences around your body, your time, and what actually helps you.
  • To write to you personally about your practice and Yoga Fundamentals in 14 Days, which you signed up for.

That's the whole list. I don't use it for advertising, I don't use it to target you, and I don't use it to build a profile of you. If I ever wanted to use it for something not on this list, the law says I'd have to come back and ask your permission first — and I would.

Where it comes from

One source: you. Before 18 September 2026, through the form at living-earth-yoga.com/join/. Now, only if you choose to write it to me yourself: in the form's open box, an email, or a message.

I don't buy information about you, I don't collect it from data brokers, other apps, social media, or public records, and I don't track your location.

What gets shared, and who touches it

I don't share your health information with anyone who wants to use it for their own purposes. But Living Earth Yoga is one person with a laptop, so a few ordinary tools hold your answers on my behalf. They're only allowed to store and move it for me — not to use it themselves.

The companies that hold or carry it

Netlify
Hosts this website and the form page itself.
Google
Carries your answers from the form to where they're stored (Google Apps Script), and runs my email at moyo@living-earth-yoga.com (Google Workspace).
Notion
Where your answers are stored so I can read them when I build your practice.

Categories of third parties: website hosting, form and email services, and cloud note storage. That is the complete list.

Specific affiliates: none. Living Earth Yoga LLC has no parent company, no subsidiaries, and no affiliated businesses, so there are no affiliates to share anything with.

What I will never do

I will never sell your health information. Washington law treats selling health data as a serious step that needs its own signed permission from you. I'm not asking for that permission, because I'm never going to sell it.

I also won't hand it to advertisers or data brokers, and I won't use it to follow you around the internet.

Your rights, and how to use them

Washington law gives you these rights over your health information. You don't need a reason, and I won't charge you or make it awkward.

You can ask me to…

  • Show you what I have. Confirm whether I'm holding health information about you, let you see it, and tell you everyone I've shared it with.
  • Stop. Withdraw your permission, so I stop collecting or sharing it from that point on.
  • Delete it. Have it erased from my records — including from backups and archives.

How to ask

Email me at moyo@living-earth-yoga.com and say what you'd like. Writing "please delete my information" is enough — you don't need any special wording.

You can also write to me at the postal address further down this page.

I'll answer within 45 days. If your request is complicated and I need longer, the law lets me take one more 45 days, and I'll write and tell you before the first 45 are up. I'll ask you a question or two first if I need to be sure it's really you — that's to protect you, not to slow things down.

If I say no

If I ever refuse a request, you can appeal — just reply and tell me you'd like me to look again. I'll reconsider and write back within 45 days explaining my reasoning.

If I still say no and you think that's wrong, you can complain to the Washington State Attorney General at atg.wa.gov/file-complaint. I'll include that link in any refusal I send you.

How long I keep it

I keep your answers for as long as I'm teaching you, and for a while afterwards in case you come back. If you ask me to delete it, I delete it — that overrides everything here.

Who's asking, and how to reach me

This is a small business — one yoga teacher, not a company with a privacy department. If something here worries you, just write to me and I'll answer you myself.

Changes to this page

If I start using a new tool that touches your health information — a texting service, for example — I'll add it to the list above and update the date at the top. If the change is a big one, I'll write to you about it rather than quietly editing this page.

This policy covers health information only, as Washington's My Health My Data Act (RCW 19.373) requires it to. It is a separate document on purpose.
